This work is an academic oil on canvas painting, executed with meticulous brushwork and great attention to architectural detail. The scene depicts a main street in late 19th or early 20th-century Valladolid, with richly ornamented multi-story stone buildings that could be those of the historic Faculty of Commerce or a similar structure. Several period-dressed figures (a couple in the foreground, others further away, a carriage) animate the scene. The work stands out for its realism and historical value. It is mounted in a thick, highly ornate baroque-style gilded wood frame, featuring intricate acanthus leaf and cartouche motifs. At the bottom center of the frame, a metal (brass) plaque with engraved heritage identification text is affixed. The new perspectives generated (image_25.png) provide detailed views of the frame's texture and the COL-1002 plaque text from an angle that shows its depth.
